I was the princess of plasticine and mud pies in my youth and the first time I held a hand crafted tea pot at the age of 16, I knew that I wanted to make fine, functional pottery.  I found an excellent craftsman in English potter, Roger Kerslake who taught me the basics over 3 years of study and I’ve been building on those skills and developing my own voice in clay since 1980.  I love to hear that people enjoy using my pots in their daily lives and I continue find the time spent at my wheel in the window of my studio very rewarding. To keep things interesting I work with many types of clay and three distinct kinds of kilns and firing temperatures.
